Jeff George

Jeff George

Manager & Owner

Growing up on a family-owned stocker operation in southeast Kansas, Manager Jeff George has always had a stake in the cattle business. His dad and uncles made sure Jeff received plenty of hands-on training. From the practical learning of everyday life on the ranch, Jeff continued his education at Kansas State University, where he graduated with a degree in Animal Sciences.

Since that time, Jeff has pursued his interest in the cattle business by managing a large cow/calf herd and a stocker operation. At the age of 26, Jeff began his career as a feedyard manager. He has spent a large portion of that time as manager here at Finney County Feedyard.

Jeff and his wife Jo have three children who actively participate in youth sports. Jeff’s free time is spent at ball games whenever possible. The family resides here in Garden City, Kansas

Jeff Jones

Jeff Jones

Assistant Manager

Jeff Jones is a classic example of “hard work pays off.” Jeff began his career with Finney County Feedyard in 1994. At that time, he was on the maintenance crew. As time progressed, he worked as a feed truck driver, in the mill department, as a bunk reader, and eventually was moved to the position of assistant manager. With all of his years of experience at this yard, Jeff is a very knowledgeable and valued employee.

In his free time, Jeff enjoys hunting and fishing.

Federico Garcia

Federico Garcia

Head Cowboy

Federico has had a long history here at Finney County Feedyard. He has been with the company for over twenty years. During this time, he has been a pen rider and most recently is our head cowboy. The Kansas weather is no match for Federico. He says, “I like to be out in the pens, no matter the weather. I just like working with the livestock.” Who better to care for your cattle than a long-term, dedicated cowboy such as Federico?

Federico and his wife Maria have one teenage daughter. His time away from work is spent enjoying time with his family.
